Travel
St Mary the Virgin is in the village of Headley, Surrey, approximately 10–15 minutes by car from the nearest train stations.
Getting to the Church
By Train
The nearest stations are Leatherhead, Dorking, Epsom and Tadworth, all approximately 45–50 minutes from London. From there, the church is a 10–15 minute taxi ride.
Taxis are usually available at the ranks outside Epsom and Dorking stations and don't require pre-booking. For other stations, or if you prefer to plan ahead, local taxis can be pre-booked using the companies listed below.
Please note that Uber and other ride-hailing services are available in the area but can be limited, so we'd recommend using a local taxi company.
By Taxi
Approximately 45–60 minutes from London — please allow up to 75 minutes if travelling during busy periods.
By Car
Parking at the church is limited. We recommend using public transport or a taxi where possible. If you do need to drive, there is a small car park to the side of the church — a handsome usher will be on hand to direct you.
The pub next door also has a large car park, free for patrons.
Getting from the Church to the Reception
We have arranged coaches to take guests from the church to Dukes Wood after the ceremony. Please don't worry about arranging your own transport for this leg of the journey.
Getting Home
We recommend pre-booking taxis for the 1:00am finish. Please direct your taxi to the main entrance of Dukes Wood on Boxhill Road — it is the first driveway on the right, approximately 600 yards along Boxhill Road, with a white 5-bar gate which will be floodlit. The What Three Words address is ///season.tags.pint. Taxis will exit via Farm Lane.
